SPAR INTERNATIONAL

Khimji Ramdas has partnered with the world's largest food store chain, SPAR International. KR plans to open 9 SPAR supermarkets with 10,000m² sales area in Oman before the end of 2016. The SPAR stores will provide high quality fresh foods combined with a wide selection of products, excellent service and good value. They will be a new benchmark for supermarket shopping in Oman.

In 2011 SPAR was launched in the Middle East with the opening of the first SPAR supermarket in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). SPAR UAE worked closely with the retail development and design teams of SPAR International.

Together they created a supermarket proposition that delivers an international shopping experience which is based on the SPAR brand values of freshness, quality, convenience and friendly personal service. SPAR International is developing SPAR throughout the Middle East in a co-operative venture with Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society (ADCOOPS). Together they have already licensed key partners QNIE a leading distributor in Qatar and BMI a major Investment and Management Company in Lebanon.

The worldwide SPAR organisation comprises 13,600 SPAR stores in 36 countries.on 4 continents and meets the needs of over 10 million consumers every day. The expansion of the organisation increased dramatically in the 1990's and continues now in the new century.
