The Division has just completed executing the shelving and racking at Home Centre’s new 10,000 square metre warehouse at Ghala, Muscat. This is the largest shelving & racking order ever awarded us to date and was completed it in a record time of 110 days. Dexion’s Four Tier Racking procured from Malaysia has been used for this warehouse which can take about 500 forty-foot containers into it. A special fire-resistant Streboard flooring has also been installed.

The Division has also completed the supply and installation of over 10,000 seats (including VIP and VVIP seating) in the Royal Oman Police stadium at Wattayah, Muscat. The seats come in the ROP flag colours with the ROP name to be visible from the air.

A delegation from the Ministry of Manpower, Sultanate of Oman headed by H.E. Hamad bin Khamis Al Amri, Under Secretary for Technological Education & Vocational Training along with Mr. Haji Al Balushi - Director General for Vocational Training accompanied by Mr. R Sainath - Divisional Manager, KR Industrial Machinery & Tools Division visited Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT)’s manufacturing and training facilities and 4 associate training institutes at Bangalore, India from 18 April to 21 April 2007.

A follow-up visit by a team of vocational training experts from Oman is soon expected to realize areas of cooperation.
